SKIN CARE is the basis for any “GREAT FACE”. Skin Care has changed my face and I only wish that someone would have offered information regarding skin care in my early Teens.
Back in the old days (60’s & 70’s) skincare was rather prehistoric.
Generally, heavy creams, lotions and potions were available at the local drug store. Skincare has evolved and improved with technology currently available on the market today. I recommend that you start your children (both male & female) on skincare by the time they are 12 years old. This will in many cases allow you to avoid costly trips to the Dermatologist.
My Boys are 22 & 24 years old and spent many long hours in waiting rooms at Dermatologist offices as well has many trips to the pharmacy. When my daughter turned 12, I started her on a very simple skincare regimen of a water-soluble cleanser that simulated the look and feel of soap. She would follow with a very light Daytime Moisturizer that gave her a non-chemical spf. of 15. Her skincare before bedtime always came before brushing her teeth. Alexis avoided the Dermatologist entirely and at 17 has beautiful skin. This set off a Huge Light bulb for me and I immediately put my boys on skincare.
Let’s Face it…Skin is Skin is Skin whether Male or Female.
Ricky and Chad have not gone a day without skincare since they realized it had been the answer for Alexis. You should teach your children to listen to there skin. My best recommendation is to keep it simple with an oily cleanser and a normal to dry cleanser. As seasons change so does your skin and it’s needs. You may find that they need to alternate daily. Generally Normal to Oily Daytime Moisturizer will be sufficient for most children and younger adults.
Think about GIFTING your children with a good foundation of basic skincare information and products. I promise you and your children won’t regret it….Maybe the Dermatologist will!
